Celebrations

An occasion of joy and recreation is a festival. India being the land of festivals celebrates all the occasions with great pomp and show. It is through festivals and celebrations that we express our happiness.

In order to keep the tradition alive in the hearts of the children MMIS celebrates all the festivals with great zeal and enthusiasm. Special assemblies are organized which bring a lot of fun and gaiety in the air. Activities associated with the festivals are organized in the school such as Diya Making & Rangoli at the time of Diwali, Rakhi making on the occasion of Rakshabandhan in order to familiarize the students with the pious knot between brother and sister. Celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna to keep the children in touch with mythology. All the National festivals are celebrated as well, so that the children get to know the importance of these days.

Earth week is celebrated in the month of April to make the children aware of global warming and contribute in different ways to save “Our Mother Planet Earth” and make it worth living.

These festivals strengthen the bond of love among the people from the different social backgrounds, which leads to unity in diversity. A child comes into the world with many hopes and dreams. Through these celebrations we try our best to fulfill these dreams and try for his spiritual, physical and intellectual development.
