The celebration of Diwali, festival of lights, came alive at MMIS

“Candles to enjoy life,

Decorations to light life,

Presents to share success,

Fire crackers to burn evils

Sweets to sweeten success

And worship to thank God!”

The celebration of Diwali, festival of lights, came alive at MMIS, Karnal on October 25, 2019.

The day was begun with the pujan of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Laxmi and MaaSaraswati. The whole school was adorned with the beautiful rangolies made by the students. The ‘Uccharan of Shalokas’ added flavour into the mood of festivity. Dance presentation by the students of Grade 9 was the spark of the day.

Our Director, Mr D.K.Tyagi, endorsed students to provide gifts to the children of the slum areas. Our Principal, Mr Sondhi, made the speech in the end. He urged the students not to play with fireworks on this festival. He also wished that the whole of India might be healthier and more prosperous. All the present staff members and students cherished the presentations of the day with a smile.

North India Draughts Championship 2019

MM International School puts great emphasis on the physical and socio development of its students. The school avidly effectuate learning techniques in the field of games and sports.
Our achievers brought laurels to the school and added one more feather in the royal cap of MMIS, KARNAL by their performance in NORTH INDIA DRAUGHTS CHAMPIONSHIP 2019.
Rishabh of grade X bagged first prize and won Gold Medal whereas Madhav of grade VIII won Bronze medal by securing third position. Yuvraj of grade VI, Marshal of grade VII, Karan of grade VII, Adarsh of grade VIII, Daksh of grade VIII, Nikhil of grade X and Takshay of grade X got participation certificates.
The Director, Mr D. K. Tyagi, felicitate the achievers. He motivated the students with his inspirational speech and encouraged them to participate in all events. He blessed the students with his words of wisdom which were subtly laced with his immense care and concern for the students.

BRAIN O BRAIN FEST 2019

It is rightly said that once the foundation is set in stone, the building can weather any storm and stand strong for the future to see.
Our student, Devang, of Grade VII once again showcased his talent by bagging trophy at National Level in #BRAINOBRAINFEST 2019 held on April 28, 2019 at #Delhi.
He added one more feather in the royal cap of MMIS, #KARNAL as he brought laurel to the school by his hard work and determination. The Principal, faculty members
and students of #MMIS wish him all the success for all his future endeavours.

To appreciate the services of our labour class, Labour Day was celebrated at MMIS Karnal with full aplomb. The function kicked off with a speech welcoming of the workers and acknowledging their hard work.
The function was sparked with a Special Assembly by Grade 7 &8 . The students presented a skit highlighting the events that contribute the significance of the day in the present time and to pay
regards to all support staff of school.
Our tiny tots came up as community helpers and told us their jobs. As a mark of respect self made cards were given to the support staff by our junior MMITians.
At last our honourable Principal addressed all and appreciated the hard toil of the workers put in by
them throughout the year.

Celebrated as Founder’s Day at MMIS, Karnal.

“ You are the mentor who showed us the path, you are the philosopher who design future for us;

September 11, the birth date of our honorable Chairman, is celebrated as Founder’s Day at MMIS, Karnal.

For the whole school it is arguably the most important day in the school’s calendar. The school is indebted to the man who had the vision that led to the creation of the school back in 2016 and who has contributed to the leadership and vision of the school since. The school owe him a debt of gratitude – without him this fine school simply would not exist.

This auspicious day was started with a special assembly to the mark the birthday of founder mentor Mr TarsemGargJi.

The day was celebrated with fervor, zest and enthusiasm in the school. An extravaganza of activities were conducted for the students. All the activities were designed to contribute towards all round development of young MMITIANS. In addition to Poster Making Competitions, Sports activities like Fun races, Cricket Match, Badminton Match and Tug of War were also planned to make this day forgettable for the students and for the school.

At the end of the day the whole school stood together to make a commitment to do the right thing, to be honorable and to carry out the intention of our respected Founder, namely to respond to his goals for a real education.

MMIS KARNAL celebrated Teacher’s day

‘A good teacher can inspire hope , ignite imagination and instill love for learning’

MMIS KARNAL celebrated Teacher’s day with great fun and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted on this day. The assembly began with a song by our school choir followed by a dance as a token of gratitude for teachers for their selfless services.

A beautiful poem highlighting the importance of a guru (teacher) was recited by a student. Students also presented their amazing handmade cards prepared for this special occasion as their token of love for the teachers. A beautiful dance by the girls was the spark of the day.

The assembly was followed by a get-together of teachers. The Principal, addressed all the teachers with his inspiring words. All the teachers were given tittles by the students of Grade 9 of the school. Thereafter, as a token of love and appreciation for them, teachers indulged in fun filled activities that marked the celebration. They sang, danced and played together creating memories to cherish forever. They reveled in the company of their fellow teachers, taking pride in their role as

teachers who transform lives and create future. The day came to an end with the scrumptious lunch hosted by the school and distribution of gifts from Management of the school as a token of appreciation of the hardwork of the teachers.

The Musical Meet: Making PPT

An old adage says, ‘Where words leave off, music begins’.
 
In the ISA Activity 3 under the project, “The Musical Meet”, the students of Grade VIII of MMIS, Mullana made Power Point Presentations on singers, musicians and instruments of the 3 countries under study-  U. K., U.A.E. and India. The students have been thoroughly enjoying this musical month ‘May’ so far.
 
Exposure to cross cultural music – the rhythm, lyrics, singers, musicians and  instruments – through this project will give our students an opportunity to observe  new cultures, languages, life and heritage closely, leaving them more adaptive and flexible in approach.

Preparing Thematic Bulletin Boards

Music is the greatest communication in the world. Even if people do not understand the language that you singin, theywill still know good music when they will hear it. 

In an effort to know the musical culture, singers and instruments of different countries under the # ISA Project, ‘The Musical Meet’, the students of grade VII of M.M. International School, Mullana decorated #thematic bulletin boards. Following a vigorous research on the music of #U.K., U.A.E. and India, the students gathered information about their singers, musicians, instruments and prepared posters, drawings, cut outs and information brochures for display on the bulletin boards.
 
The students’ joint efforts were assessed by a panel of judges. The exceptionally beautifully decorated bulletin boards grabbed everyone’s attention.
 
Adding international dimension to the curriculum topic, the activity has created ripples of music in the air.

Musical Rendezvous

#Music has a universal appeal. It’s an incredible force that binds the people and nations.
 
The students of #MMIS, Mullanawitnessed a live concert, # “Musical Rendezvous” in the school Seminar Hall today. Organized by the MMIS Music Club, headed by Mr. Deepak Massey, the concert was the culmination of the ISA Project, “The Musical Meet”.
From the soul soothing sufi songs to peppy western numbers and heartwarming Indian melodies, anhour long musical bonanza cast a magicalspell on the audience that was packed to capacity. Ensembled with 7 mesmerizing performances by the students of VII,VIII and XI, the concert was a treat to ears.

ISA Activity: Talk on Green Your Lifestyle and Making PPT

Use it up, wear it out; make it do or do without.

Earth is the best gift of God to us but with our ill-practices, we have made it worse. If we don’t bring a change in our attitude towards using natural resources and adopt 3R policy- reuse, reduce and recycle, we shall be struggling for life and resources on this planet soon. 
 
Journeying through our ISA Project, ‘Global Citizenship: Sustainable Living’, the students of grade XI  of # MMIS, Mullana presented talks on the theme, ‘Green Your Life style’ this week. In another activity, they did research on the use of paper and recycling in #India, #Tanzania and #China. After investing a great deal of time researching the project details- consumption of paper and  recycling practices followed by these countries-  the students brainstormed the issue in groups and finally presented the statistics and information in the form of  Power Point Presentations.
