Folk Fiesta

All the world’s a stage and most of us are desperately unrehearsed. –  Sean O’casey
The folklores and folktales have been an eternal part of every culture since ages. Creating bondage of traditional values with present-day generation and teaching morals in a simple and interesting way, the folktales make perfect stories for children who must be instilled with right values at the right age.

Taking ISA Journey ahead through project, ‘Folk Fiesta’, this week the students of VIII and IX of MMIS_Mullana presented 3 skits – Sri Lankan folk tale, ‘It’s Amma’s Birthday Today’ depicting love between mother and daughter, Korean folktale, ‘The Story Spirits’ with a moral to share good stories with all and Indian folk tale, ‘Akbar and Birbal- Kissa Teen Murtiyon Ka’ showing wisdom and wittiness of Birbal. From script writing to developing dialogues and scenes, acting, making props, deciding costume and make up- the interest and enthusiasm of the students was sky high throughout the activity.
